Octavian Develops First Onsite Security App

The Octavian app will receive information direct from the company's central control room

UK security company Octavian has developed the industry's first onsite manned security app for smartphones and tablets, to increase its security offer to clients.

Available exclusively to clients of Octavian Security, the new app will enable clients to access all security information on site, both historically and as it happens. This will include details of all on site activity as it occurs, information on each site's security KPIs and details of personnel on site at the time. Additionally, the app will provide clients with information from any supervisory visits.

Working across all mobile platforms and tablets, the Octavian app will receive information direct from the company's central control room, concerning on site activity from its hundreds of guarded sites.

The app is the brainchild of Octavian Security's owner and chairman Sukhi Ghuman. Known in the industry for pioneering the use of ex-Gurkha regiment security officers, late night bus security programmes and for championing standards in the security industry, Ghuman designed the app to give clients real-time reporting and peace of mind.

"The app further assures our clients that their assets are being looked after, offering a real-time flow of information and reporting that is consistent and seamless," explains Sukhi Ghuman.

"Clients will even be able to tailor the app to deliver the specific information they want. It's exciting to be the first manned security company to deliver an app for its clients, and it's another example of our commitment to transparency and market leading auditing and reporting."

The app is free for Octavian clients to download from the Apple Store, and has been delivered for maximum reach, working across multiple smartphone platforms including iPhone, Android, Blackberry and mobile web.
