Non-stop productivity

“The Philips dictation recorder app is designed for busy professionals who want to save time by getting work done on the go. It maximizes your flexibility and helps you save resources.” explains Dr. Thomas Brauner, CEO of Speech Processing Solutions. The app fits perfectly into existing Philips dictation workflow solutions and allows the user to stay efficient, even when they don’t have a digital voice recorder, such as the Philips Pocket Memo, to hand.

Easy and intuitive to use

The brand-new user interface makes the app even more intuitive and easy to use. New users can take advantage of the new quick start guide, helping them get started and productive faster than before. Philips have also added new dictation features such as the ‘set editing mode’, which allows users to predefine their ‘overwrite’, ‘insert’ and ‘append’ modes before using the dictation device. The result is a more natural workflow as users can use the edit mode more intuitively and without interruptions.

Transcribed documents made easy

Recordings can be typed by a transcriptionist, processed by speech recognition software or sent to dictation workflow solutions such as Philips SpeechLive*. SpeechLive offers a new transcription service, where third party professional typists transcribe your recordings quickly and efficiently. Andreas Obermeier, Manager at Klinikum Rechts der Isar, a hospital in Germany explains: “The technical expertise of the transcriptionists was immediately clear. Specialist terms and foreign words were correct, including grammatical corrections and the correct form used for proper names was even researched."

The app is available to download from the Google Play Store here and is also available from iTunes for iOS and BlackBerry World. Philips SpeechLive solution can be tested for 30 days at:

* Regional availability of SpeechLive may vary. The transcription service is currently available in English, German and most recently French.
